3am, 22/04/10.
We are now exactly halfway. The hydraulic alternator has made my cabin sound like a factory that tests chainsaws.
We have entered the ITCZ (Intertropical Convergence Zone), and there there are squalls that make the radar screen look as if we are being attacked by several small nations.
It has become stiflingly hot as we get nearer to the equator, just as we can't use the aircon. ARRGHH!
The weather could be worse-the furniture is not being thrown around...yet!
On the plus side, we are now consuming under 6 gallons per hour, as opposed to over 7, which was the case, back in those lone gone days of comfort and luxury. This is the difference between success and failure.
I'm going to make a cup of tea now. I don't care if it makes the alternator explode...
