Making good progress

The generator stopped again on Friday. We were a bit panicked, although as we had the hydraulic alternator online, we were ok, although the batteries did appear to be getting depleted for some reason. Anyhow, we were on the phone a good deal to the guru, Bob Senter, aka 'Lugger Bob', the saviour of all Nordhavn owners. We managed to email him this photo (expertly labelled by Dave) of the wires that we thought  had come loose, and he explained what to do, and Justin spent six hours in the 110 degree engine room, and fixed it! Justin is a hero.

It will need a more permanent fix when we reach Papeete, but for now, all is well, and we are making good progress. The sea is calmer than expected, and we are enjoying the spaciousness and freedom of this vast and seemingly empty ocean. Seagulls follow us. Eric Cantona knows why.

  3. The first tracking site you mention shows your position and speed clearly. It is exciting to see. The second site, though, does not seem to have you listed. More pictures, more news please!
